Pan Mass Challenge Success!
This past weekend Unum completed their second year in the Pan Mass Challenge, riding 193 miles and raising over $65,000 for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
It was a summer filled with employee fundraising events, including yoga, bowling, pilates and a silent auction fundraiser the week of the PMC. Even hours of traffic and pouring rain couldn’t contain Unum employees (commonly known as Unumanians) from bringing their friends and families out to support the team's fundraising efforts. The group raised over $8400 in one evening, meeting their overall fundraising goal of $63,000.
The 14-person team at Unum included seven first-time riders, many of whom had never ridden in an organized biking event.
The Pan Mass Challenge is the single-largest athletic fundraising event in the country, and has raised over $500 million for Dana Farber since its inception in 1980.
